New English Translation

10 He built an extension all around the temple; it was 7½ feet high[a] and it was attached to the temple by cedar beams.

11 [b] The Lord’s message came to Solomon: 12 “As for this temple you are building, if you follow[c] my rules, observe[d] my regulations, and obey all my commandments,[e] I will fulfill through you the promise I made to your father David.[f]
